Butterfly Protocol is a cross chain decentralized naming system that aims to become the standard way to identify and locate resources in the current web and the next generation web (web3). Its native NFT domain technology with tree structures under each TLD increases the ways in which Butterfly can be used to almost infinite as it provides a flexible method of integrating into any dApp, game or chain.

We provide advisory services for new and existing projects that need extra help in their journey to success. With our extensive network and experience in the space, we act as an incubator for projects willing to integrate our technology. Features

NFT domains

These domains as tradable NFTs can host static sites and any type of information using IPFS. Other protocols like ENS or Unstoppable use NFTs to represent domains but with Butterfly Protocol, sites actually “live” inside the ERC-721 tokens.

Web3 Identities

Like ENS, Butterfly domains also allow you to point to your wallet therefore with future wallet and dApp integrations happening soon, you will be able to use “someone.hmn” as their wallet address instead of long alphanumeric addresses.

ENS integration

Since ENS has an extraordinary integration with Metamask in the Ethereum network, we have managed to design a Layer 2 that integrates this feature into all the new TLDs that are being created. Every person that registers their own Butterfly domain will be able to claim that same domain on ENS for free.

No renewal fees

Contrary to other systems like ENS, once you buy your domain, you own it forever and do not need to pay those uncomfortable yearly payments to maintain the ownership.
